Our technology has a major positive impact on the geological modelling components of minesite workflows. The Gocad® Mining Suite Base Module is client-proven in reducing completion time of ore deposit models of by an order of magnitude in comparison to conventional mine planning software. The frustrating, and inordinately time-consuming, challenges of creating valid wireframe models in complex geology remain “business as usual” with conventional software. Gocad’s true 3D, topological model creation and editing technology advances mean a substantial, measurable improvement in accuracy, time, and cost. Gocad offers a powerful array of resource modelling technologies, again a generation ahead of conventional mine planning software. True 3D stratigraphic grids mean a significant increase in accuracy and reduction in modelling time for stratigraphic deposits such as coal, tar sands, and many gold, platinum, and iron ore environments. Conventional, rectilinear 3D block models can handle tens to hundreds of millions of blocks with mulitple domains and properties simultaneously. Faults are handled with the same very powerful tools demanded by Gocad users in petroleum reservoir modelling. The Resource Modelling Workflow uses Gocad’s unique workflow interface to guide the user through complex resource estimation and simulation processes.
