Vision and scope

Our competitive advantage stems from leveraging the technical excellence and major R&D investments of our partners in both the energy and mining industries. Our philosophy is to seamlessly integrate the world's most advanced earth modelling technologies into workflow-based solutions that provide better, faster decisions for our mining industry clients.

Our technology philosophy is centered on the concept of the “Common Earth Model”:

  • Working in true 3D and 4D
  • Tightly integrating geological, geophysical, geochemical, and engineering data
  • Quantitative analysis.

The Common (or Shared) Earth Model is a term developed in the upstream oil and gas business to describe a single 3D earth model quantitatively consistent with the full scope of multi-disciplinary project data and interpretation. A model sophisticated enough to be owned by the entire asset team.

In practice it means geological models, attributed with petrophysical properties, that forward-model to match geophysical field data. It means 3D geological models that respect a consistent structural, stratigraphic, and topological framework. It means rock quality and rock fabric models for geotechnical design that properly respect lithological boundaries and structural domains. It means exploration, resource, geotechnical design, and environmental models on which teams can make objective, auditable business decisions.

We believe in the power of knowledge, data, and technology integration to address our clients’ geoscience-based challenges. An approach based on the strength of committed commercial, technology, and R&D partnerships.
